So I've decided that after a year of not drawing anything, and a year and a half of not actually trying, I'm going to start again. I figure it's reasonable to say one drawing a week, minimum, but I'm not sure how that's going to work out with school. I've already done two this week, but I'm a little concerned that I might burn myself out too quick. Oh well, I'm just happy I'm drawing again. Normally I pledge to write more, but since I've tried that every year for the past... forever, I figure drawing might be a better option. *shrug*

I decided to see what was going on here. Then I remembered how a swore every time I went on here, I'd upload artwork. Thus, Ferdinand has been uploaded. For the three people that are in contact with me on here, Ferdinand is named after a professor I had my first semester at UB. Ferdinand Lewis has since gone back to his home campus in South Carolina :(. Oh well. I kind of want to jump back into things on here, but I should probably actually start mingling with other people for once. In fact, I hear that's what the internet is for, these days. New(er) things in my life: -I'm hell-bent on going into historic preservation -Thus I am hell-be

I have created a blog. It's not a retarded, social one though. It regards my major, and I'm planning on using it to sort of track my progress, as well as my journeys (both physical and academic) through Architecture and Planning. Lord knows why I've decided to use the internet rather than a journal. To answer my own question, I think it's because I feel more compelled to type things rather than write them. I kind of dislike handwriting things. And why not go paperless? And public I guess. Haha. Oh well. LINK!: http://www.ax1023.wordpress.com *slaps forehead* I can't believe I have Myspace, Facebook, DeviantArt, LiveJournal, AND Worpress ac

Ok, so I was walking down the quarter to my classes and I saw SOMETHING, but for the life of me, I dont remember what it was, but I instinctually took out my phone and thought "Text Sam, she'll LOVE this"....hahaha....i'll letcha know if I do remember it...
I caught two fish! Hahaha, large-mouth bass. I only have a 7-day license so I'm done after this week.

Math... *shudder* I can only put up with so much at once. I only have to take two math classes at UB - both my choice. For the first one I did a computer science class. All the math involved had to do with converting into different bases. The best thing that came out of that is that I now understand the joke "Why do nerds confuse Halloween and Christmas? Because OCT 31 = DEC 25." Then I'm going to take stats one of these years because they recommend that planning students take it.

Do you know what you want to do with math?
Not sure yet, but I've found myself attracted to projectile motion on 3 axes and more or less surface areas and volumes. Since every formula I've found relies on using f(x,y), I've set out on a series of formulas (4 right now, but i still need to prove them) that work on f(x) for surface areas of solids of revolution. This way you don't need to convert to a function on R3 and you can do it all with f(x). But honestly, I can see myself teaching. So at the moment, that's my (short-term) goal: college professorship. Something else may come up, I'm not sure.

As far as computers, I have to take a year of python programming....this is going to be "fun"....

Still looking to do environmental design and engineering?
What is python programming?

Yep, I'm still an Environmental Design major. I'm also working on a minor in Art History - meaning I'm taking any and all classes on architectural history haha. I want to go into Historic Preservation Planning, but I'm torn between getting a less expensive MUP (Masters in Urban Planning) at U.B. or specializing and getting an MA in Historic Preservation Planning or a M.R.P. (Masters in Regional Plannin) at Cornell. *shrug*

It's funny that I'm thinking of grad. school already and some people haven't even decided on their majors yet.

Wow, I really haven't been on here in a while... Though I can't say I've really done anything too artistic in a while either.

Regardless, how the hell are you, Tyler?
I guess you could say I've been better. That's honestly the gist of it. Shit's come and shit's gone. And all I've done artistically is take pictures; I moved any writing to a blog. So don't worry, you're not the only one haha All my fpcus has gone to homework at this point.

Yourself?
Are you taking summer courses? I've just been working lately - a lot. Artistically I've done maybe 3 sketches, a couple paintings, and I've written maybe 3 things. In the past year. =/ I start Studio classes next year though so I'll think I'll more than make up for it then. I just want school to start back up. 4 months is far too long of a break. I'm at that point of the summer where I just sit around and do nothing on the days I don't have to work.
